Pakistan-US Defence Consultative Group, according to foreign office spokesman, is to meet here on Thursday (February 3) to review bilateral military co-operation and security assistance. Delegations to the group will be lead by Pakistani defence secretary Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz Khan and US under-secretary for defence Douglas Feith, who is in-charge of policy affairs. The group will also review the current campaign against terrorism and examine the long-term strategic relations between the two nations.
The two sides will also have a general exchange of views on the situation in South Asia, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
The size and composition of two delegations were not known but this will be the 16th meeting of the group.
Meetings of the military consultative committee and the security assistance working group that began here on Monday will conclude before Douglas Feith arrives here on Wednesday.
